Other Structures
Definition
Homeowners insurance Coverage B, which covers structures on your property that are not attached to the main dwelling — such as detached garages, sheds, fences, and pools. The standard limit is 10% of your dwelling coverage amount.
When This Matters
A windstorm destroys your detached garage valued at $25,000. Other structures coverage (Coverage B) pays to rebuild it, up to 10% of your dwelling limit.
