Definition
The first page of an insurance policy that summarizes the key information: the named insured, policy number, coverage period, coverage types and limits, deductibles, premium amount, and the property or vehicles covered. The declarations page is the most important document for understanding what you have.
When This Matters
Before your renewal, review your declarations page to confirm your dwelling coverage limit, deductible amounts, and any endorsements still match your current situation.
